We are proud to become the first factory in Asia and the only large-scale manufacturer of denim with B Corporation™ Certification. Achieving B Corp™ is an opportunity for us to communicate, spread impact, and strengthen the community who is redefining responsible production.

Water used after recycling.
Water used in standard process.
Recycling can have a significant impact on cost and natural resources. By changing some traditional practices in denim manufacturing process to decrease our water consumption, not only do we reduce the harm to our planet, but also save over $400,000 per year. Just one example of how recycling can be profitable.
1.5 liters, that’s how much water we use today at SAITEX versus the industry standard of 80 liters per jean. Thanks to our closed water system and jet washing, each year we are able to save 430 million liters of water – that's equal to the annual water consumption of 432,000 people.
2% evaporated
The 2% of water we cannot recycle is simply evaporated.
All our wastewater is purified and recycled leaving zero discharge at the end of the treatment cycle, allowing us to treat and retrieve valuable byproducts from our waste.
Through our commitment to conserving energy by deploying an aerial-drying system, recapturing heat, using natural lighting, and investing into solar energy, we have reduced our energy usage by 13 million kilowatt-hours per year – and reduced CO2 emissions by nearly 80%.
Unlike traditional driers – which guzzle electricity – we air dry our jeans. After mostly drying on the conveyor, each pair is briefly finished in a commercial machine.
“Why do we need to switch on the lights during the daytime?” – By questioning such basic assumptions we are able to transform the way we consume energy. Leading us to use natural light when available, and install solar-powered lights throughout our facility, we save 13 million kWh per year and further reduce our impact on the environment.
Using biomass for steam generation allows us to replace the use of fossil fuels.
By providing alternative transportation solutions to our associates to reduce emissions, and planting trees to offset carbon emissions, SAITEX will be carbon neutral by 2023.
We are proud to say that our commitment to use cleaner energies was rewarded with a *LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification. One of the most prestigious green building certification programs.

BUILD HOMES FOR
THE DESERVING
All wastewater treatment plants create a toxic byproduct called sludge. But at SAITEX, the sludge is extracted and shipped to a nearby brick factory. Mixed with concrete, the toxic material can no longer leech on the environment, and the resulting bricks are used to build affordable homes for the people in need.
By mobilizing the power of business, we are working towards reducing inequality, lower levels of poverty, a healthier environment, stronger communities, and the creation of more high-quality jobs with dignity and purpose.

Orphanages supported
Uplifting 800 lives
We support 3 orphanages which house 800 children. As these children turn 18, they are offered the opportunity to be trained at SAITEX, and offered jobs with equal pay, respect, and dignity.
Access to affordable and clean food is a basic human right. In our continuous mission to create a positive social impact and in association with Everlane, we have installed our very own hydroponic and clean farming system at our facilities. The result is healthy food for our community, while creating jobs that generate social interaction, employment with equal pay, and respect to some of the most vulnerable groups of our community.

The ratio of women and men associates
We believe that gender equality is a necessary foundation for a peaceful, prosperous and sustainable world. Not only 58% of our workforce are women, but many have risen to key positions within SAITEX.
Some see them as workers. We see them as family. Giving back to the community and making a difference to humanity has always been of great importance to SAITEX.

The combination of cyber-physical systems and the Internet of Everything, makes Industry 4.0 possible and the concept of a smart factory at SAITEX a reality.
Speed To Market™
Increase in shipments
Big data helps us to control and improve every aspect of our operations. This allows us to not only to boost our productivity, enhance our processes, and drive growth, but to also put our partners at the center of this transformation. In short, more power and knowledge for more good.
Utilizing the latest manufacturing techniques such as laser to etch off a fine layer of fiber and color from jeans, we have transformed a 20-30 minute manual process down to 90 seconds, to get the same result. Allowing us to produce superior products in a hybrid/collaborative method with our associates, and in less time for our clients.

To create a world with no barriers and give people from disadvantaged backgrounds an equal and open opportunity.
The Rekut production line is a platform for the differently-abled to receive training and support towards obtaining a sustainable job and a stable income.
PWD Associates
To achieve an inclusive workplace, and provide sustainable job opportunities to the differently abled. Each associate gets five months of dedicated training to be fully independent. It costs $3,000 only to mainstreaming each of them.
In urban areas of Vietnam, people with disabilities are 3 times as likely to be unemployed. Following our commitment to the SDGs, the Rekut provides jobs with respect, equal pay, and dignity.
Fully Renovated Accessible Area
We consulted with experts, non-profit organizations, and specialists in Ho Chi Minh city to build our training programs and adjust our machines. $155K has been invested in facilities to be fully accessible with all amenities needed, along with transportation to our facilities.
Each of the 90 associates have been recruited in orphanages and centers taking care of people with disabilities within close proximity of SAITEX. 7 supervisors are dedicated to training and guiding them.
Dedicated Trainers
The Rekut production line is upcycling waste & stock garments, giving a new life to the products, and simultaneously tackling textile waste.
By 2025, we aim to create 1,000 jobs and avoid 1,000,000 Kg in landfills.
With this model, we hope our movement would inspire other organizations to follow suit. To see abilities and not disabilities.
In our continuous mission to create a positive social impact, in partnership with Everlane, we have installed our very own hydroponic and clean farming system at our facilities.

Saitex Employees:
Access to healthier, more fresh, and cheaper vegetables.
Orphanages and pregnant associates
When harvests are generous, we donate our surplus products.
Communities:
Employ people from disadvantaged backgrounds and reduce the carbon footprint of vegetables produced.
By doing so, we wish to prove and inspire a whole industry that such model of inclusive farming with job opportunities and equal pay is possible. This represents the future of our economy.
